Dewatering containers

Sludge dewatering systems also use standardized heat insulated containers equipped with mechanical sludge dewatering devices. The containers work on the principle of gravity filtration through a special cloth. Heavier particles settle at the bottom, and sludge water is forced out to the surface. Sludge water outflow is ensured by means of filtration holes on the side and bottom of the container. The use of the dewatering containers is accompanied by bad smell of the loaded sludge.

The decanter centrifuge beats the dewatering container in the rate of the obtained dry matter. Furthermore, the centrifuge does not need permanent replacement of disposable filter cloth for its operation.
